Where is prince poppycock

Howie liked his performance and said it was campy. Prince Poppycock performed in Week 1 of the Semifinals. His performance in Episode consisted of singing a modified version of "Bohemian Rhapsody.

Prince Poppycock received enough votes to be sent to the Final 4 in Episode instead of Michael Grasso.

Prince Poppycock's Final 4 Finals performance in Episode consisted of singing "Nessun dorma" with his interpretation of a knight rescuing a princess. Piers Morgan buzzed the act. Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne liked the performance, but Piers thought he had blown it.

Piers loved when Prince Poppycock was fun and a showman, and this performance did not impress him too much. All the judges thought that is the fun and campiness he displayed was what Prince Poppycock is. Piers Morgan said he made a mistake and should never have buzzed him the other night.

Prince Poppycock was revealed to have finished in fourth place in the competition that same night, behind Michael Grimm , Jackie Evancho , and Fighting Gravity. Prince Poppycock returned for The Champions.

Prince Poppycock did not receive enough votes to advance to the night's Top 3, eliminating him from the competition. America's Got Talent Wiki Explore. Season Wildcard Show. Other Seasons. He knows who he is as an artist and he doesn't need a Hollywood makeover to be successful. As the season went on, I wondered whether Grimm was a little too mellow and whether fans were hoping he would show more personality. He never did. And maybe that's what America wanted — a real down-to-earth person, not a flashy, glitzy clown.

Unlike many of the other singers this season, Grimm seemed incredibly at ease on stage. If he was nervous, he didn't show it. He always kept his composure, and TV viewers got the sense they were watching a seasoned musician.

Michael Grimm had a compelling back-story. He was raised by his grandparents, and their house in Mississippi was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Grimm promised he would try his best to win "America's Got Talent" so he could help his grandparents rebuild their lives.

He is too wacky. Yes, he would be a perfect fit for a Vegas show. But for all the people who loved Prince Poppycock's colorful costumes and outlandish routines, just as many people hated them. They just didn't get his shtick. And that definitely cost him a lot of votes. Even though he energized the theater audience during most of his acts, if you rewatch the recent video clips, you'll notice his voice wasn't as crisp and powerful as it was earlier in the season.

He seemed to have more vocal control during the early rounds. Song choice. Piers Morgan was right. Prince Poppycock blew it by picking a serious and boring opera song for his very last performance — the one that would determine the million-dollar winner. As I wrote in a previous column , the Final 4 performance show is always going to attract more television viewers, and some of them are going to be newcomers to AGT.

I would bet Prince Poppycock put most of those newcomers to sleep. Or had them thinking: What's with all those freakin' feathers on his head? The big red X. Piers Morgan was clearly pushing hard for little Jackie Evancho to win the title. He wanted a Susan Boyle-like media buzz for the show. And it was wrong for him to press his buzzer on Prince Poppycock during his final performance.
