How many shaun the sheep seasons are there

Did you know Edit. Trivia Bitzer the dog's wristwatch vanishes whenever he goes on four legs. Connections Featured in Troldspejlet: Episode User reviews 22 Review. Top review. Yet another triumph from Aardman studios! Having grown up with all 3 of the Wallace and Gromit shorts and still loving them to death liked the movie and Matter of Loaf and Death as well , and having being enormously entertained by Chicken Run and Creature Comforts, I heard of Shaun the Sheep.

I wasn't sure whether I would like it, but seeing that Aardman had impressed me so much already, I said to myself why not? So I tuned in and I am hooked! Although I am 18, Shaun the Sheep is everything a children's show should be, something that adults may like as well, and is constantly cute, funny and charming. As I have said already, it is yet another triumph from Aardman Studios.

Shaun the Sheep looks absolutely wonderful. All the characters are so well-modelled, and the backgrounds are so colourful and beautiful. The theme tune is a delight as well, it has the same appeal as Wallace and Gromit, it is a simple but memorable and catchy tune that will have you whistling for a long while afterwards. Shaun the Sheep does not have any dialogue, but that is not a bad thing at all. They chose to convey the charm through the characters and the stories, and in my opinion that was exactly the right decision.

Don't get me wrong, I love dialogue in kids' shows but this is a sort of show that works better without it. The characters are really sweet and have interesting and unique personalities. I absolutely adore Shaun, I loved him in A Close Shave, now that he is the main focus here he is even better. He is such an appealing and adorable character, he won my heart right away, and he is funny as well, always having something up his wool. I love the Farmer as well, I love how oblivious he is to the animals' goings-on.

The Dog Bitzer is really smart and resourceful very like Gromit who still makes me laugh with his priceless facial expressions , the bull is quite harmless until he sees red, and the pigs while they do bully Shaun too much have their likability too.

Even the chicks were really cute. The stories of every episode are only minutes long, but what I love about them are their simplicity and sense of fun. Shaun and Bitzer to the rescue! The Farmer's replacement doesn't take care of the farm, which leads to spooky events. A race between Bitzer and Farmer begins. To rid the farm of a pesky crow, Bitzer dresses up like a scarecrow. While Shaun and Bitzer face off in an epic ping pong match, a hungry fox stalks the farm.

Things get eerie when a goat hypnotizes Shaun and the rest of the flock. No matter how hard he tries, Bitzer can't get a picture to hang straight. The hills are alive with more shenanigans as Shaun and his flock of woolly friends outsmart the farmer with help from peacekeeping sheepdog Bitzer. When a traffic jam blocks their way to the barn, the sheep are taken on an unplanned ride. The entire farm tries to crack open a coconut. Timmy creates chaos when he decides to practice whistling during a sheep-herding contest.

A group effort in window cleaning turns into a sponge fight! Shaun discovers something about the paint Timmy is using for graffiti, and decides to play a trick on Bitzer. A noisy crow disturbs everyone's sleep. After making a big mess in the farmer's kitchen, Shaun fears his days are numbered.

Shaun accidentally swallows a duck-call whistle. Shaun sneaks into the farmer's home to retrieve a soccer ball. The sheep try to thwart the farmer's plans to turn their barn into a house. The sheep compete against the pigs in a ball game. Shaun and Bitzer enjoy watching home movies -- until the films recall memories they'd rather forget!

When Bitzer digs up a bone to chew, he uncovers a whole dinosaur skeleton! Shaun builds a skateboard from scraps and tries to perform a daring trick. At night, the sheep move the farmer's new piano to Bitzer's doghouse so he'll play it for them. Since filming ended, the fixture and fittings have been removed and it was demolished. Until recently, the image is now available here.

Shaun the Sheep makes his first "official" appearance in Wallace and Gromit 's third short feature, the Academy Award winning " A Close Shave " as the youngest member of a flock of sheep Wallace and Gromit work to save from an evil mechanical dog that wants to turn them all into dog food for profit. Shaun does show a hint of intelligence, though he proves to be a big factor in saving the day. Shaun and the entire herd are also seen living with the inventive duo much to Wallace's annoyance since they eat everything in sight, including furniture and clothes as well as his beloved cheese , though none of this seems to be part of this series' canon or it can be surmised Wallace simply sold off the flock to The Farmer where Shaun and his friends now reside.

Shaun also makes a brief cameo appearance with the duo in one of the episodes entitled "Shopper 13" of Wallace and Gromit's "Cracking Contraptions" web series of shorts. Reviews of the series were consistently positive.

Harry Venning of "The Stage" found "characterisation charming and the animation superb. All this before even a mention of how funny and splendidly slapstick the script is. Shaun is the main character of the series and the leader of the flock. He is a clever sheep and keeps his head. He has a good friendship with Bitzer and very smart. He is voiced by Justin Fletcher. Bitzer is the strict and loyal dog of the farmer and Shaun's friend. He can neglect his duties, but he enlists the help of Shaun and the Flock to fix any mishaps and is determined to please The Farmer.

He is also voiced by John Sparkes. The Farmer is a ketty, drum-and-bass-loving Welshman who runs the farm with Bitzer at his side. He is completely oblivious to the human-like intelligence of his flock. His disastrous attempts at dating are an ongoing joke of the series.

Much like Bitzer, he is also voiced by John Sparkes. The Pigs are the main antagonists of the series, they're always trying to antagonize the Sheep and get them into trouble. They are, however, scared of Bitzer, who puts them in line.

Pidsley is the cat, he's minor character in season 1 and major character in season 2 and desires to be the sole recipient of The Farmer's attention. He is jealous of Bitzer's relationship with the farmer and dislikes the sheep, thinking of them as stupid and beneath him.

Shirley could be described as a consuming-machine still a sheep. She's so big that she often gets stuck and needs the other sheep to push, pull or even sling-shot her out of trouble, even using heavy equipment at times.

Timmy is Shaun's cousin. He may be the baby of the flock, but is often at the center of things. Luckily his mum is always there to keep him safe. He also appears as the main star in the spin-off Timmy Time. Much like his cousin Shaun, he is also voiced by Justin Fletcher.

Timmy's Mother wears curlers in her hair, and is a bit careless about maternal duties, even using Timmy once as some sort of a paint brush. But when her off-spring goes astray, she is inconsolable until he is safely back in her care. She is also Shaun's aunt. Nuts is the charming eccentric of the Flock, with an unusual way of looking at the world that sometimes confuses his woolly companions. Boisterous, loud and full of energy, this sparky pair likes nothing better than battling it out in a play fight.

The Cockerel , who appears in every opening sequences to the show and has a cup of tea, would always wake the Flock everyday. The Mother Hen is the hen who wants the chicks to come back, but they won't listen and want to stay with Shaun, thinking he's their mother. She only appears in the episode "Who's the Mummy? The Chicks are chicks that easily annoy Shaun. They always follow wherever Shaun goes because Shaun was the first thing they saw upon hatching — something called imprinting and in order to make them accept Mother Hen as their real mother.

Mower Mouth the goat is an unstoppable eating machine — while not an unfriendly character, all his considerable energy is focused on his next meal.
